Robots, aren't they one of the most cool future gadgets? I'm sure that is little boy or girl you wished you had some cool robot. Well, when I was kid it was not possible since the technology was not so developed as it is today. Today's kids has really much better toys, but it is still toy. What this future gadget I have for you this time really is not is a toy. No it is true farmer and really hard worker.
Future of robotics is without any doubt not toys, oh no future of poor robots is work and really really hard work. Car industry is using robots for many years and now pretty fast even other companies are using robots more and more every year. Well, there was one part of industry where robots were not used almost at all - agriculture. You probably already heard about those gps navigated automatic tractors, well this is something much more complex and in fact this robot does not even need a gps navigation which is something pretty cool.
What you can see in this video is robot called Prospero designed by David Dourhout. It is special seeding machine that works in groups. Such group will be monitoring whole field and seed according to state of of the place, it is very complex machine and I have to admit I don't know anything abyout agriculture.
Prospero is six legged autonomous robot which walks, seeds, remembers where it placed the seed, can work in groups and is just amazing. Without any doubt of the most cool future gadgets in 2012 so far.
Designer of this robot would like to create even far more advanced farming robot in the future. The future robot should be able not only to seed, but just to take care of the plants in all phases of the growing process, kill the weed and pests and just everything the plant needs 24 hours a day.
Looks like thanks to such future gadgets as this one, farming of future will not be hard work anymore, but it will much more look like Farmville on facebook, you will be just sitting in your office and giving orders to buch of crazy sic legged robotic farmers and hope they will not decide to kill you as pests.

This time I have for you something very special and I'm almost 100% sure that this is going to be the best gadget of 2012 and absolutely huge commercial success. This new spray (or paint) called Never Wet is absolutely amazing future gadgets. When I write future gadget I always think about what it really means. Well, for me future gadget is something what can do something what we could not do before or does it in some much better way. Well, that is exactly what Never Wet. Explained very simple way it means that Never Wet can repel water better than any spray, paint or wax the human kind have now.
The area of application of this new product is absolutely huge. It was developed to protect steel from corrosion, but it can do so much more. It can be used on cars to protect them, on air planes to protect their wings from ice, on clothes, or on..hell who knows how much use we will find in the future. I don't know if this could be called cool future gadget, but it is something I'm almost 100% sure about all guys who likes gadgets will also like. as kid I just loved to play with Hot Wheels tracks and I always wanted to have more and more pieces so I could buy bigger and more crazy tracks. Well, the guys that created this video where lucky enough to make my dream true and I must say it looks amazing. Have you ever heard about vacuum solar tubes? You probably now that electricity is getting more and more expensive every year and soon every source that save at least some of this electricity will be very important.
You would probably like to know how these solar vacuum tubes works. Well it is very simple device. In the center of the tube is absorber, this part absorbes the heat, but because all around is just vacuum it does not lose the heat and instead of that the heat goes exactly where we need it. Solar power panels are I think something what everyone should know, because in solar energy there really is future of energetics. Someone might think that it is in wind energy or in some other kind of energy like cold fusion, well that is not true. Human kind is working on cold fusion for very long time and we still have very small results. Problem with wind energy is that find does not blow all the time and there are also places where you cannot place wind turbines.
Other great source of energy is nuclear energy, but people are really very afraid of this kind energy. People should not be afraid of it, because nuclear energy kills every year just few people because of Chernobyl accident. Well, people usually does not know that coal power plants puts much much more radiation into environment. Why? Well, they use coal and usually where in earth is coal there are also other radioactive compounds that gets into the air while coal is burned. In fact, nuclear energy is the most clean and most ecologic source of energy. At least for now. Well, this article is about solar power panels so why do I write here about nuclear energy? Nuclear energy is really absolutely best and cheapest, but has some dangers and is only best right now, in future the best source of energy for humankind will be solar power panles. You might think something different, but then you would absolutely wrong. solar power panels are something absolutely amazing.
What is so great about solar power panels is that they get energy right from sun. there are no other mediums or steps, simply energy from sun converted to electric energy, that has great potential to be the most efficient source of energy on Earth. It sounds really strange, because if you know something about solar power panels you know that these panels are not very effective right now. In fact, the usual solar panels we use today are much more effective than those 20-30 years old, but the truth is that their efficiency is still not very high. It is sad, but absolutely true. Well the development os photovoltaics these days is extremely, even ultra extremely fast and that menas we have more and more efficient solar panels every year. That means than in 10-15 years we will have so cheap, so green and so efficient solar panels that we won't probably need much other sources of energy. Well, at least in sunny places of course, but even in places we do not use solar power panels today we will use them. You can be almost sure that in 10-15 years solar power panels will be every.
Tody we use silicone while we make solar panels, well, in future we will use plastics and it will be extremely cheap. Best solar panels we have today have efficiency about 40%, in future there will be panels with efficiency well over 80%. These panels will use much bigger part of light spectrum and will have other stuff that will make 'em more effective. Simply, if you don't know what to invest in, invest in solar energy, this are has bright future. One of the things I like on sci-fi movies from future are crazy computer controllers, well this one I have for you today is something awesome and something what you can really buy. Why to use your mouse when you can use some really cool gadget to control your computer? This controller is called ring mouse, but it does not work like mouse at all. So how this cool future gadget works? Well, it is really quite simple, you just put it on your forefinger and operate this gadget with your thumb. Today I have one really cool gadget for all fans of LED lights and also all fans of skateboarding who wants to look really very cool while having fun on skateboard, especially after dark. I have to admit that I have never seen so cool gadget in sport area. I have to say that I just absolutely love this piece. I have to admit that I have never learnt how to ride skateboard and even I love snowboarding, skateboarding seemed always to me as something really hard. Well if I were skateboarding I would definetely want one of these cool LED skateboard. We could see this used on cars, but I really don't think that we could ever see this on skateboard, really great idea. What is also good about this LED skateboard is that it is even not very expensive and those LEDs can light for about 4-5 hours.

This is really quite simple, more people in one plane = more money for airlines and of course possibility for cheaper tickets. There have been few ideas before, including "standing seats" or travelling with seats in the sides like military planes, but nothing of this was ever realized. Well, this new idea looks like it could really make it. These seats have been designed by Aviointeriors Group, company from Italy. As you can see on the picture, these new seats looks like saddles and they work similar way. These seats puts more of body weight to legs, so these seats can be 7 inches smaller than average seat and that of course means more space for more passengers. Creators says that the seats are very comfortable, but it is not recommended to use them for flights longer than 3 hours.

Dr. Kunio Komiyama from University of Saskatchewan, designed his first unconvencional toothbrush fifteen years ago. This year doctor Komiyama and his colleague doctor Gerry Uswak are testing Soladey-J3X.
The solar toothbrish they developed has a solar panel at its base that transmits electrons to the top of the toothbrush, then the electrons reacts with acid everyone has in mouth, it starts chemical reaction that breaks down the plaque and even kills bacteria in your mouth that causes dental problems. This toothbrush does not need any toothpaste and what I find really interesting is that needs so small amount of energy. The amount of energy it needs is about the same as solar calculators.

NASA sends new robot to ISS

Last month NASA and GM announced that they wants to send robot to ISS this September. Eventual goal of this project is to help astronauts on the station. The name of this robot is Robonaut2 for short R2. It weights 136Kg, it has head, torso and two fully functional arms. In the beginning of its mission it will be monitored how well it performs in the wightless environtment of the ISS, but later NASA hopes it will be able to help astronauts with work and even during space walks. John Olson from NASA said about this project:“The partnership of humans and robots will be critical to opening up the solar system and will allow us to go farther and achieve more than we can probably even imagine today.”

It is very long time since google is not just search engine, but probably tomorrow they will introduce something really big. The Google Phone. Name of the phone will be probably Nexus One and it will use operating system Android 2.1 or maybe even some completely new version of Android, OS developed by google itself. So it is for sure that it will be smartphone. This phone will use touchscreen, it will be very thin (less than Iphone or HTC touchscreen phones) and it will use amazing 1Ghz processor called Snapdragon. There are still lot of speculations about the phone, it is possible that it will use only VoIP. Google has service Google Voice which can be used for phonecalls over internet much cheaper than calls from any classic phones and has invested about 30 milion dollars to Gizmo5, company that works on VoIP systems. Well, probably tomorrow or really very soon, we will know more.

Well, it is called Disco Ball hat, and it is one of those things I would not put on my head and go outside even if someone would give me thousand dollars. It looks so funny and stupid! It looks like normal baseball cap with probably rotating light-up disco ball. Please girls, make a comment, what would you think about guy with this on head, would you give him your phone number?

This is another just crazy stuff. It is without a doubt ultimate snowblower. Have you ever seen snowblower with V8 engine? I'm sure you did not! Kai Grundt is guy who must really hate snow and love machines so he decided to build this machine. It has 6200rpm, 412 horsepower and it can blow snow to amazing distance of 30 meters.

Study ball

When I've seen this ball I thought it is some joke, but you can really buy this thing. It doesn't look for first sight like future gadgets, it looks much more like gadget from past, but it has time digital display and time lock. What is purpose of this thing? Well, if you have kids, then you know how hard it is to persuade them to study, or if you are student and you find it really hard to concentrate and you tend to do anything else except studying, then you might find this really useful. It weights 9,5kgs and if you want to study fro example for two hours, you just chain it to your ankle, set the timer for two hours and it will not release you until the time is up. Luckily for all kids, it cannot be set to more than four hours. It was really hell for me to study for even one hour when I was kid, so I'm sure kids will not be so happy that it has timer for "only" four hours. Check it out, that MBA is waiting for you :)

Every blnder is potentially dangerous and because this one is so powerfull it needs something what will make it more safe and that is polycarbonate cover.

Callendar for twenty years

What you can see in these pictures is typical gadget, callendar for twenty years! It is for sure that it is not something what you will find in every house, but I'm sure that there is always someone who will want something like this. It looks really crazy on the wall, because it has 7300 pages and is about 60cm long.

These headphones has really cool and sexy design, don't you think? But these are not only headphones, in fact this gadget can also be used as a webcam, because that giant crystal is actually hiding the lens. Interesting idea, that's for sure.
